Overview
FileTrac supports a direct export to Vedder Software, allowing adjusting firms to transfer claim data from FileTrac into the Vedder platform. This integration is designed for firms that use Vedder for claims processing, reporting, or other operational workflows alongside FileTrac.
The export is a one-way data transfer — claim data flows from FileTrac to Vedder. This eliminates manual data re-entry and ensures consistency between the two systems.
Where to Find the Export Option
The Vedder export is accessible from the Claim Edit Header links at the top of the Edit Claims page.
1. Open the claim you want to export in the Edit Claims page.
2. Look for the header links area near the top of the page. You will see links for various actions including Manage this Claim, Secondary Adjusters, Claim Share, and others.
3. Click Export to Vedder Software.
4. FileTrac will generate the export file containing the claim's data in a Vedder-compatible format.
5. Save or transmit the file as prompted to complete the transfer to Vedder.
What Data Is Included
The Vedder export packages the claim's core data fields into a format that Vedder Software can ingest. This typically includes:
• Insured information — Name, address, and contact details of the primary insured
• Loss details — Date of loss, cause of loss, loss location, and description
• Policy information — Policy number, policy type, effective dates
• Claim identifiers — FileTrac file number and claim number
• Financial data — Reserves, payment amounts, and other financial figures as applicable
• Adjuster assignment — The assigned adjuster's name and contact information
The specific fields included in the export may vary based on your firm's configuration and the data available on the claim at the time of export.
When to Use This Export
Common scenarios for using the Vedder export include:
• Dual-system workflows — When your firm uses both FileTrac and Vedder for different stages of the claims process.
• Client requirements — When a carrier or client requires claim data to be submitted in a Vedder-compatible format.
• Data migration — When transitioning claims or claim data between systems.
Troubleshooting
Export to Vedder Software link not visible: The Vedder export option appears in the Claim Edit Header links on the Edit Claims page. If you do not see it, the integration may not be enabled for your account. Contact support@evolution.global to request activation.
Export file rejected by Vedder: Verify that the claim has all required fields populated before exporting. Missing data may cause the Vedder import to fail. Review the claim and fill in any blank fields, then re-export.
Data discrepancies after export: The export captures the claim data as it exists at the time of export. If you update the claim in FileTrac after exporting, you will need to re-export to capture the changes. The Vedder export does not sync automatically.
Need to export multiple claims: The Vedder export operates on a single claim at a time from the Edit Claims page. For bulk export needs, contact the Evolution Global support team to discuss options.
