Simsol is a widely used estimating software platform in the property claims industry. FileTrac integrates with Simsol to streamline the flow of claim data between the two systems, eliminating the need for manual data re-entry when creating estimates.

The integration supports two directions of data flow:

• Export (Download Simsol File) — Send claim data from FileTrac to Simsol so adjusters can build estimates using the claim's existing information.

• Import — Bring completed Simsol estimate data back into FileTrac to attach to the claim record.

This article covers both directions, including the single-claim and multi-claim export options.

FileTrac provides two export options, both accessible from the Claim Edit Header links at the top of the Edit Claims page.

Use this option to export a single claim's data to a Simsol-compatible file format.

1. Open the claim in the Edit Claims page.

2. In the Claim Edit Header links (located near the top of the page), click Download Simsol File.

3. FileTrac will generate a file containing the claim's key data fields — insured information, loss location, policy details, and other relevant data — formatted for Simsol import.

4. Save the downloaded file to your computer, then open it in Simsol to begin your estimate.

The exported file pre-populates the claim details in Simsol, saving time and reducing data entry errors.

When you need to export several claims at once — for example, during a CAT event — use the multi-claim option.

1. From the Edit Claims page, click Download Simsol File (Multiple) in the Claim Edit Header links.

2. Select the claims you want to include in the export batch.

3. FileTrac will generate a combined export file containing data for all selected claims.

4. Save and import the file into Simsol.

This is particularly useful for adjusters handling multiple assignments who want to load all their claim data into Simsol in a single operation.

After completing an estimate in Simsol, you can import the estimate data back into FileTrac to attach it to the claim record.

1. Complete your estimate in Simsol and export it in the FileTrac-compatible format.

2. In FileTrac, navigate to the claim and use the import function to upload the Simsol estimate file.

3. FileTrac will parse the estimate data and attach it to the claim, making it available in the claim's documents and reports.

The imported estimate becomes part of the claim's permanent record and can be included in reports, invoices, and client deliverables.

The Simsol export file includes the following claim data from FileTrac:

• Insured information — Name, address, phone, email

• Loss location — Property address (if different from insured address)

• Policy details — Policy number, type, effective dates

• Loss information — Date of loss, cause of loss, description

• Claim identifiers — File number, claim number

• Adjuster information — Assigned adjuster name and contact details

Download Simsol File link not visible: The Simsol export links appear in the Claim Edit Header section of the Edit Claims page. If you do not see them, your account may not have the Simsol integration enabled. Contact support@evolution.global to request activation.

Exported file won't open in Simsol: Verify that you are using a compatible version of Simsol. If the issue persists, contact the Evolution Global support team for assistance with file format compatibility.

Imported estimate not appearing on the claim: Confirm that the import file was generated from Simsol using the correct export format. Check that the claim number in the import file matches the claim you are importing to in FileTrac.

Data fields missing after export: The Simsol export includes only the fields listed above. If Simsol requires additional data, you may need to enter those fields manually in Simsol after importing the FileTrac file.
