Introduction
Evolution Global's platform is built on a four-layer architecture. Each layer has a distinct role, and together they form an integrated system that covers the full lifecycle of claims work — from data management and AI-powered intelligence to human productivity and industry-wide governance.
This article explains what each layer does, how the layers interact, and why this structure matters for organizations that manage insurance claims.
The Four Layers
Layer | Product | Role |
1. Data Authority | FileTrac | System of record for all claims data |
2. Governed AI Engine | ELIAS AI | Intelligent assistance grounded in claims data |
3. Human Workspace | AdjusterIQ | Productivity and professional development for adjusters |
4. Standards Authority | Ark Alliance Foundation | Industry governance, standards, and interoperability |
Layer 1 — FileTrac (Data Authority)
FileTrac is the foundation of the architecture. It is the system of record — the single authoritative source of truth for all claims data within an organization. Every claim, every financial transaction, every document, every assignment, and every status change lives in FileTrac.
What It Provides
FileTrac handles the core operational workflow of claims management: new claim entry, claim assignment, adjuster management, billing and invoicing, reporting, and integration with external systems like XactAnalysis, QuickBooks, NetSuite, HOVER, and others. It is accessed through both the modern FileTrac Evolve interface and the FileTrac Legacy system that has served the industry for years.
Why It Matters as a Layer
Every other layer in the architecture depends on FileTrac. ELIAS AI queries FileTrac data to answer questions and generate documents. AdjusterIQ draws on FileTrac records to surface tasks, deadlines, and workflow context. The Ark Alliance Foundation relies on FileTrac's structured data to enforce industry standards. Without a trusted, governed data layer, nothing built on top of it can be reliable.
Layer 2 — ELIAS AI (Governed AI Engine)
ELIAS AI (formerly known as EVO-X, rebranded and redesigned as ELIAS AI) is the intelligence layer. It is a conversational AI assistant purpose-built for claims professionals, embedded directly into the FileTrac Evolve Dashboard.
What It Provides
ELIAS AI gives users natural-language access to their claims data and common workflows. Capabilities include claims search by any criteria, document summarization and generation (Word and PDF), data visualization from CSV and claim data, professional correspondence drafting, weather and current-events context for active claims, and FileTrac system guidance.
Why "Governed" Matters
ELIAS AI is not a general-purpose chatbot. It is governed — meaning it operates within defined boundaries, draws its answers from FileTrac's authoritative data, and includes built-in disclaimers and accuracy guidance. Users are always reminded to verify AI-generated output before using it in formal decisions or communications. This governance is what makes ELIAS AI safe for production use in a regulated industry.
Layer 3 — AdjusterIQ (Human Workspace)
AdjusterIQ is the human-centered layer. While FileTrac manages data and ELIAS AI provides intelligent assistance, AdjusterIQ focuses on the people who do the work — adjusters, examiners, managers, and claims professionals.
What It Provides
AdjusterIQ is a dedicated workspace for adjuster productivity, workflow management, and professional development. It brings together the tools and context that claims professionals need to work efficiently, stay organized, and grow in their careers — all within the Evolution Global ecosystem.
Why a Separate Layer
Data systems and AI tools are powerful, but they serve the organization. AdjusterIQ serves the individual. By giving adjusters their own workspace — distinct from the system of record and the AI engine — Evolution Global ensures that human productivity and professional growth are first-class priorities, not afterthoughts bolted onto a data platform.
Layer 4 — Ark Alliance Foundation (Standards Authority)
The Ark Alliance Foundation is the governance layer. It establishes and maintains the industry standards, interoperability rules, and ethical guidelines that ensure the platform operates responsibly and connects seamlessly with the broader insurance ecosystem.
What It Provides
The Ark Alliance Foundation defines the standards that govern how data is structured, how AI operates within the platform, and how different organizations and systems interoperate. It is the layer that ensures Evolution Global's technology serves the industry as a whole — not just individual organizations.
Why Governance Is a Layer
In a regulated industry like insurance, technology without governance creates risk. The Ark Alliance Foundation ensures that every capability in the platform — from data storage to AI-generated output to cross-organization data sharing — operates within a framework of standards, accountability, and transparency. It is what transforms a collection of tools into a trustworthy platform.
How the Layers Work Together
The four layers are designed to complement each other:
FileTrac stores and governs the data. ELIAS AI reads that data and makes it accessible through natural language. AdjusterIQ gives the people who act on that data a workspace optimized for their productivity. And the Ark Alliance Foundation ensures that the entire system operates within industry-accepted standards.
A practical example: an adjuster logs into FileTrac Evolve and sees their Dashboard. They click into AdjusterIQ to review their task queue. They ask ELIAS AI to summarize the documents on a complex claim. ELIAS AI pulls the data from FileTrac, generates the summary, and presents it with a disclaimer. The adjuster reviews the output, drafts a correspondence using ELIAS AI's writing tools, and files the completed work back into FileTrac. Throughout this workflow, the Ark Alliance Foundation's standards govern how the data was stored, how the AI processed it, and how the output can be shared.
The Platform Vision
The four-layer architecture reflects Evolution Global's belief that the insurance industry needs more than better software — it needs a platform that treats data integrity, intelligent automation, human productivity, and industry governance as equally important. No single layer is the "product." The platform is all four, working together.
