Overview
ELIAS AI can draft professional written communications on your behalf — emails, letters, and other correspondence commonly needed in claims work. Instead of starting from a blank page, describe what you need and ELIAS AI will generate a polished draft that you can review, edit, and send.
This capability is built into the ELIAS AI panel on the FileTrac Evolve dashboard and is available anytime you need to compose a message.
Drafting an Email
ELIAS AI can draft emails for common claims scenarios. Simply describe who the email is for and what it should say.
Example prompts:
• "Draft an email introducing myself to the insured as their case's adjuster"
• "Write an email to the client company with a status update on claim #12345"
• "Draft a follow-up email to the insured requesting documentation"
• "Write an email to the carrier summarizing our inspection findings"
ELIAS AI will generate a complete email draft with an appropriate subject line, greeting, body, and sign-off. You can then copy the text, refine it, or ask ELIAS AI to make changes.
Drafting a Letter with Official Letterhead
For more formal correspondence, ELIAS AI can draft letters formatted for official letterhead. This is useful for client-facing communications that require a professional presentation.
Example prompts:
• "Draft a letter with official letterhead addressed to the claimant that their case has been resolved"
• "Write a formal letter notifying the insured of the claim outcome"
• "Create a letterhead correspondence to the carrier regarding the reserve adjustment"
ELIAS AI will structure the letter with proper formatting — date, addressee, salutation, body paragraphs, closing, and signature block. You can then transfer the text to your firm's letterhead template.
Other Writing Tasks
Beyond emails and letters, ELIAS AI can help with a variety of writing tasks relevant to claims work:
• Claim summaries — Ask ELIAS AI to write a narrative summary of a claim based on details you provide.
• Status updates — Generate concise updates for supervisors, managers, or client companies.
• Acknowledgment letters — Draft acknowledgment of receipt for new claims or documents.
• Internal notes — Compose well-structured internal notes that you can save directly to the claim via the Notes Summary feature.
Working with Drafts
After ELIAS AI generates a draft, you have several options:
• Copy — Click the Copy icon to copy the text to your clipboard for use in your email client or document.
• Refine — Ask ELIAS AI to adjust the tone, length, or content. For example: "Make this more formal" or "Shorten this to two paragraphs."
• Regenerate — Ask ELIAS AI to create a completely new version if the first draft does not meet your needs.
• Save as Note — Save the response as a claim note if appropriate, with the option to control client visibility.
Tips for Best Results
• Provide context. The more details you give ELIAS AI about the recipient, purpose, and key points, the better the draft will be. Include names, claim numbers, and specific details when possible.
• Set Custom Instructions. Use ELIAS AI's Custom Instructions feature to define your preferred writing style, level of formality, and signature details so every draft aligns with your preferences.
• Always review before sending. AI-generated drafts should be reviewed for accuracy, tone, and completeness before they are sent to anyone outside your organization. See the Accuracy, Disclaimers, and Safe Use article for more guidance.
