Overview
The Invoice Worksheet Defaults setting controls the default layout and behavior of invoice worksheets generated in FileTrac. These defaults determine which columns and details appear on the worksheet, whether adjusters can view the PDF output, and whether timelog data is included with the invoice. This setting is found in the Billing and Payout column on the Settings page.
Configuring Defaults
Navigate to Settings → Billing and Payout → Invoice Worksheet Defaults to configure. The available options are:
Show Service Names — Display the service name on each invoice line item.
Show Service Codes — Display the service code alongside the service name.
Show Description — Include the line-item description on the worksheet.
Show Quantities — Display the quantity for each line item.
Show Rates — Display the rate for each line item.
Allow Adjuster to See PDF — When enabled, adjusters can view the generated invoice PDF. When disabled, only administrators and billing staff can access the PDF.
Include Timelog with Invoice — When enabled, the invoice worksheet includes a timelog summary showing the time entries associated with the invoiced claim.
These defaults apply to all new invoice worksheets. Individual invoices can be adjusted at generation time, but the defaults set here determine the starting configuration.
Tips
Enable Include Timelog with Invoice if your clients require time documentation alongside billing — this saves the step of generating a separate timelog report.
Consider disabling Allow Adjuster to See PDF if your organization prefers that adjusters not see the final billing amounts sent to clients.
The combination of service names, codes, and rates gives clients full transparency — enable all three for maximum detail, or disable codes and rates for a cleaner, simplified invoice.
