Settings — Reserve Types

How to configure Reserve Types in FileTrac Settings for consistent reserve tracking and integration.

Overview

FileTrac's Reserve Types setting defines the categories of financial reserves that can be set on claims. This is found in Billing and Payout column on the Settings page.

Reserve Types

Navigate to Settings → Billing and Payout → Reserve Types to manage the list of reserve categories. Common reserve types include Coverage A (Dwelling), Coverage B (Other Structures), Coverage C (Personal Property), Coverage D (Loss of Use), and others specific to your book of business.

From this configuration screen you can add new reserve types, edit existing ones, and set display order. Reserve types appear on the claim's financial grid (see New Claim — Financial Grid) where adjusters enter reserve amounts, RCV, ACV, and other financial data for each coverage category.

Reserve Checking Accounts

Also in the Billing and Payout section, the Reserve Checking Accounts setting defines the bank accounts from which reserve payments are disbursed. This is relevant for organizations that process reserve payments directly through FileTrac and need to track which checking account funds each payment.

Tips

  • Align your reserve types with the coverage categories used by your primary carrier clients — this simplifies reporting and data exchange.
