This article explains how to obtain a HOVER capture as an ESX file so you can import it into Xactimate.

ESX file downloads are not enabled by default for HOVER accounts. To turn them on for your account, follow these steps.

1. Submit a new support request to the Evolve team — either via in-app support chat or by emailing support@evolution.global.

2. In your request, include your HOVER account email and confirm that you want ESX file downloads enabled.

3. Once your account is configured, the ESX file option becomes available on your HOVER capture report.

Once the ESX file is downloaded from HOVER, open Xactimate, navigate to your project, and use the Import feature to bring in the ESX file. The HOVER measurements will populate the sketch and line items automatically. A short walkthrough video is included below.
